Stages of the trip

  1. St Louis

    Arrive in St Louis in the early afternoon with plenty of time to explore The Gateway Arch Riverfront.

  2. Springfield (2-3)

    Depart St Louis and hit the open road on Route 66. Only 97 miles to Springfield but the drive is filled with retro roadside stops and main streets straight out of the movies. In Springfield, the capital of Illinois and home of Abraham Lincoln, visit the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and take in the speciality shops and antique stores.
